Victor Prescott
Visiting Professorial Fellow
Professor-Emeritus Victor Prescott studied for research degrees in political geography at the University of Durham (MA) and the University of London (PhD). He is an elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Social Sciences. He has published 16 books and many papers in refereed journals. Since 1972 most of his work has dealt with maritime boundaries. He is a foundation member of the team which has produced reports for the first five volumes of 'International Maritime Boundaries', a project led until 2003 by Jonathan Charney. He has appeared as an expert witness in maritime boundary cases before the International Court of Justice, the United States Supreme Court and the Australian Federal Court. He is a member of the editorial Board of 'International Journal of Marine and Coastal Law'.
